Dan Driesenga grew up in Michigan, near Holland. While serving on nuclear submarines in the Navy, he traveled to Vallejo, California, where he met Jill. They were married at Vallejo Bible Church in 1975. Following his discharge from the Navy, they attended Sacramento Bible Institute and later moved to Michigan, where Dan graduated from Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in 1989. Jill took classes when she could as their three children were born during these years. After an internship at Vallejo Bible Church, the Driesengas served as church planters with Bible Church Crusade of Northern California. Later, Dan served as an associate pastor in Lincoln and then in Laytonville. They also served for seven years at Hartstone Bible Camp. Dan was director and Jill managed the kitchen. Subsequently, they moved to Eureka, California, where Dan pastored Sequoia Bible Church for fifteen years. From there, they have now moved to Hot Springs. The Driesenga’s have three grown children and eleven grandchildren.
